Mrs. De'Ann

Director / Head Preschool Teacher

“I have lived in Corning for 20 years. I have operated my home daycare for many of those years. In 2005 I opened De”ann’s Busy Bees Preschool. I have taught preschool for many years. I was a long term sub at Antelope State Preschool in Red Bluff. I also taught at Kiddyland Preschool for 5 years, as well as directed the 4-H Afterschool Program at West Street School for 5 years. I have a wide range of experience from for private to non profit and state funded programs. My love for children is what brought me into the field of Early Childhood. God blessed me with tow strengths. One of them was patience, the other is love. I have 5 children of my own and my husband and I raise 4 grandchildren. We have a very busy schedule and love every minute of it. I am very proud to say that my husband works with me as the head teacher in the afterschool room as well as two of our daughters. I am very proud to say I am and I run a Christian family business.”

Our Mission

Our Mission is to provide a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating environment that fosters the holistic development of each child.

We are committed to inspiring a love for learning, promoting social-emotional growth, and preparing children for a successful transition to elementary school.

Our Vision

Our Vision is to create a nurturing and inclusive learning community that ignites the joy of discovery, sparks imagination, and cultivates a lifelong love for learning.

We strive to be a leading preschool that fosters excellence in early childhood education and empowers children to become confident, curious, and compassionate individuals.

Our Philosophy

We believe that when children are offered a positive, consistent environment to enjoy, play and explore in, learning will naturally follow.

We believe that by offering each child gentle guidance along with decisions to make on their own they will learn to make responsible decisions and become caring members of the environment they are a part of. We believe that if a child feels like they are supported and respected by their teachers of fellow classmates they will learn at a comfortable pace and have strong selfesteem.

Meet Our Amazing Staff!

Miss Brandee

Home Daycare Administrator "I am the director/administrator of Busy Bees Preschool and the proud daughter of De'Ann. I have helped in the preschool since I was 16.I love children and the families we work and play with. I am excited to see how we keep growing and offering more to our families and the community of Corning. I believe the success of our family business comes from the strong faith we have in Jesus Christ. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philipians 4:13 That's our family motto."

Miss Ashlee

"I started working with kids as far back as I can remember. Having a mom who has done childcare most of my life and made it look easy, I could not help but follow in her footsteps. I took ROP childcare in high school and received a certificate. During the summers while attending high school I worked for my mom at Bright Beginnings Preschool. After I graduated I went to college to get a certificate in Sign Language and decided to take some more Early Childhood classes so that I could help my mom with her new childcare center. Well that was 5 years ago now and I love the kids, the families and my job."

Miss Lourdes

"I am the two year old teacher here at Busy Bees. I grew up within childcare, and as soon as I was old enough, I got my work certificate and started as an employee. After graduating high school, I started in the Caterpillar class, and continued my education at Butte College. Now, I have my Early Childhood certificate and have been the Caterpillar teacher for a year. I have fallen in love with the kiddos, and I do everything with them in mind. My primary goal is to be the best teacher I can for them."
